Tummy Tub!

Grandaddy Bumgardner got Emily this "tummy tub"...it is supposed to represent the "womb" feeling as she gets a bath...and apparently it worked since she didn't wake up until it was time to dry off! It made her parents a little nervous because of the lack of head control but it was nice not to have a screaming baby during bath time! Thanks Grandaddy!

Doctor Visit

Emily had another checkup this past Thursday. According to her doctor she is doing just fine and growing just like she should. Emily was 3 weeks old at this visit and she weighed 8lbs 12oz. She also grew another inch so she is now 20 inches. The first 4 pictures I took while Emily and I were hanging out at night, Leslie feeds her around 8:30 or 9 pm and then hits the sack. I take over from there and she will take about a bottle and 1/2 from me. Emily thinks that 11pm is the best time to be wide awake. She will usually last till about 1:30 am before she gets cranky and then its at that time we have to get mommy because daddy just will not do.

Finished Room

Put in the quarter round to finish up the room.

Once that beast of an old water heater goes I will be able to finish the sheetrock and the flooring underneath.

This is the finished office/laundry room. I still have a few paint touch ups here and there, mostly because I am not that good of a painter in the first place. I think it turned out pretty good and I was able to move everything in the room today. I know this will make our guest happy since everything from the office was stored in the guest room and the only way to get to the bed was to crawl up from the end.

Office Project

This is another one of the House projects we had going. Since we took our old office and turned it into Emily's room we needed another space to put our desk and computer. With the help of my dad and Leslie's dad I turned part of our garage into our new Office. The space is actually an office/laundry room.

Doctor Update

As you know, we took Emily to Children's hospital yesterday to check on the ovarian cyst, she did absolutely beautiful with all of the poking and proding....I couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby (mind you at 7 days old) to withstand all of that. The surgeon was very optimistic that the cyst will soon dissolve and that it was very small to begin with. We will follow up with him again in 6 weeks so keep praying that it will be gone by then and we don't have to make any more "road trips" to b-ham. Leslie
