Mac N Cheese Dance

Emily was having a great time at lunch doing a little dance and eating all of daddy's Mac N Cheese. I had to hold the plate down because each time she saw it unattended she tried to pick it up and throw it.

Inside Days

Mowgli has become quite protective of Emily and likes to be wherever she is...or tries to get some of the attention that she gets!!
She has become fond of the camera in her face and can really "show out" for it too

I still can't believe how long her hair is!

You can't tell from the glare but the dogs are outside in this picture. Whenever they get put outside it's Emily's job to make sure they are behaving themselves so she bangs on the sliding glass door to let them know that she's watching!

Louisiana Downs

A wonderful selection of Daiquiri's from a very fine drive thru establishment in Shreveport LA.
Brian and James

David and Michele

The track at the Louisiana Downs.
This past weekend I took a trip over to Shreveport, LA to visit Brian and Michele Kane. I drove over from Mobile with James Delaney and David Hughes. The Kane's live in Alaska and I could not pass up the chance to see them since I had not seen them since they were married a few years ago. I want to thank Michele and her family for being so nice to let us stay with them and also for putting up with three guys that when we get together act like we are still in high school.
The weekend started by meeting up with Michele, Brian, one of Michele's friends( I'm sorry but I can not remember his name), and Michele's dad at Superior Grill. Brian knew that James was going to be in town but he did not know that David and I were tagging along. Thanks to Michele and James for setting that up that surprise. Saturday kicked off with 9 holes of golf of which I did not lose a single ball, it helped that there were not any water hazards on the course. Although I did have one nice shot when the club head of my seven iron broke off and flew about half as far as my ball did. That afternoon I had my first experience going to a horse track and trying my hand at betting on the races. I did not win any money but it was a lot of fun. We then headed to our second drive thru daiquiri establishment of the trip, once again a first for me. The first picture shows their creative menu. Michele and James provided entertainment on this stop. First was Michele ordering for all of us off of their nice menu ( video to come), plus Michele and Brian are expecting a new addition in October so that made the event even better to have her order all the drinks. Without missing a beat James did not have his drink for more than 10 sec before he poked his finger through the bottom of his cup and made a mess all over himself. We ended the night going to a hole wall restaurant that had a great little meal called the Shrimp Buster.
Again I want to thank Michele and her family for their hospitality and say it was great to see her and Brian again. I hope that we can do it again in the near future. Brian and Michele run a very nice blog of their experience's in Alaska with amazing pictures, you can find a link on this page it is called Alaskane.
