First Doctor visit/update

We had our first weight check today...all is good, a little down from discharge but normal. We also have an appointment set up on Wednesday at Children's hospital in Birmingham to meet a new doctor that will follow Emily for the ovarian cyst that has remained on her Right ovary. Hopefully like we were told before it will dissolve on its own but to be cautious we will be followed by "the experts" per our pediatrician's request. Please keep us in your prayers as we have to travel with our then 1 week old infant and that all goes well with her first "road trip".

"Great" Aunt Sheila came to visit us on Friday when we got home from the hospital with lots of presents....thanks Aunt Sheila, we miss you Uncle Pat...we'll come visit soon!

We brought Emily home today. We were able to leave the hospital around noon. Emily slept the whole 45 minutes on the way home. When Emily was weighed today and she was 6 lbs 10 oz. Emily is still nursing very well, usually around every 3 hours. So far she has been a little angel. Leslie and I hope that she keeps this up. With all the family and friends around Emily has gotten a whole lot of attention and I don't think she knows what it is like not to be held.

9 Months! On the home stretch....

A Few Pink Touches...

If you look closely you will see that the nobs are pink: this was our first "purchase" after finding out we were having a girl. On the side of the dresser are the bags that I have "started" packing...if anyone has any good suggestions on what or what NOT to bring to the hospital let me know!

We found the letters at a local store and Tom painted them pink, however the shelves that the letters are sitting on were made by Tom. So, taking special orders for anyone interested...
