Pumpkin Patch

Emily waiting for her homemade ice cream!

Trying to pick up her pumpkin....no luck so Graham volunteered to carry it for her

Emily and MK walking back from the patch...we told them to hold hands since there were "big tractors" traveling the road

Graham and April were so good to help out with E, we had a great time spending the afternoon with them and Mackenzie! You can't tell from this picture but Emily was really excited to see and pet the animals. But all she talked about on the way there was "pumpkin, pumpkin, pumkin"!

Storytime

Okay, so by now all of you know that Tom and I are expecting baby #2 soon...Feb. 2nd is our due date so I've reached the 6 month mark. It seems like time is flying by with this one. I may have failed to mention on the blog that we will be having another precious little girl! So, Tom and I have already nailed down the first name and are probably 99% sure of the middle name. I have been trying to teach Emily about there being a "baby in mommy's belly"....I will point at my belly and say "baby", well she turns to her belly and points and says "baby"! I've also been teaching her "Mia" for her new sister's name as well. So the other night we are at my parents house to watch the AU football game when Emily comes up to me and points directly at my belly and says "Mia, Mia"! So, we all know how emotional I can be and of course I started crying which meant my parents both turned around to see "what was wrong"!! It just amazes me how quickly Emily catches on to things these days and how her vocabulary has just exploded! I just wanted to share this sweet story (now I'm crying again) and PRAY that there are more sweet stories to come when it includes Emily and her new sister to come...Mia!

I'm ready for my close-up

I try a lot to get pictures of Emily but she seems more interested in performing the "close up" version...so this is what we take! I can't believe how fast she is growing and how much she looks like a little girl and not my baby anymore. We have been working on potty training these days with some success, she is really into her baby doll stuff (good sign I hope :), she likes to dance to Selena Gomez music and gets mad when the song on the radio ends! and she is learning colors like a champ....of course one of the most important: Orange, she pointed at her shoes today on the way home and said "Orange"?

The Dog

This is what happens when your dog is medically noncompliant....yes, I said when your DOG is MEDICALLY NONCOMPLIANT!!!!

Rain Boots

Perfect day for rain boots...and on the right feet might I add!

Sneaky...

Thought Emily was "helping" me with dinner when in fact....

She was eating part of it before I could get it on the table!
