A couple weekends ago we went to visit my Aunt Sheila and Uncle Pat in Dothan. We stopped in Eufala to eat lunch at Burger King and Emily was such a big girl!!! We let her stand the majority of the meal since she was stuck in the car seat. She scarfed her burger down and used a big cup with a straw (minus one spillage onto the floor). We can't believe how fast she is growing up into a little girl!!
As you all know, Tom spends a lot of time with Emily so you can only imagine what he "gets" to do with his little girl...including the occasional book read with her dolls! I was doing some laundry one weekend and this is what I found when I walked back into the den...Emily with her doll Chloe reading a book with Daddy!!
Emily likes to get on the bed and cover up with us while watching TV (don't fuss!) but it only lasts about 5 minutes before she is ready to get down and play or "jump" on the bed
As you can tell, most of the shots are with Emily on the go...it's hard to get her to slow down and smile for a picture. We celebrated early and had a wonderful pork shoulder that Tom smoked all day on Sunday with my parents.
Lately we have been going to my parents new neighborhood pool with Emily. She absolutely loves being in the water and they have a 6 inch portion of the pool that she would live in if she could. It is hard to get her out of it. She does very well wearing her hat but could care less about the sunglasses so we take what we can get. She's becoming quite brave too...she likes to climb down the bigger steps into the pool and trys to blow bubbles like I show her but mainly she just opens her mouth and dunks her head in the water.
